![]() His great grandchildren include: Bennett Miller (Jordan and Jodi), Nova Vergilio (Katie and Phil), Tyler, Mason, Parker (Julie and Jerry), Ryder (Karen Stone) and Hudson (Lisa and Cory Tillman). He was also the proud grandpa to 12 grandchildren Rachel (Rebecca) Downie, Jonathan (Gemma Styling) Miller, Jordan (Jodi Freeman) Miller, Katie Miller (Phil Vergilio), Brian Chiasson, Jaxson and Jett Rose, Christine Stone, Julie (Jerry) Blizman, Karen Stone, Lisa Marie Tillman and Derek (Jennie) Haight. Jerry is survived by six children – Sue (Rob) Downie, Patti (Gary) Miller, Mary Jo (Wayne) Stone, Kim McGrenere, Craig (Michelle) Rose and Chris Rose. He was predeceased by three other sisters – Florence (Pat) Kelly, Mary Helen McGrenere and Marie (Danny) Beaghan. Jerry was the cherished brother of Tom (Gwen) McGrenere, Joan (Lou) Collier, Noreen Addison, Barbara Forsdike, and Bob (Melanie) McGrenere. He was the second oldest of nine children. He was the eldest son born to Bill and Evelyn McGrenere on August 14, 1929. Jerry was predeceased by his beloved wife Eleanor in January of this year. He passed very peacefully with his daughters by his side and with support from an excellent team of doctors and nurses ensuring his comfort. Pallbearers will be Marlon Chapman Jr., Malek Chapman, Mekhi Chapman, Gregory Carroll, Herman Drinkard, Darian Floyd, Marcus Floyd, and Dre'a Pulliam-Paige.It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald John (Jerry) McGrenere on Monday Jat LHSC – University Hospital. He is much remembered for his beautiful green eyes, his smile, his rhymes, and being the 7,000 year old China Man. Morris was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend. He entered into the Armed Services of the Air Force after graduation to serve his country. Morris graduated from Roy Miller High School in Corpus Christi Texas, in 1965. A host of great nieces and nephews, Marlon Chapman Jr., Malek Chapman, Raven Downie, Darian Floyd, Taryn Chapman, Jonai Cirilo, Tiahna Chapman-Stingley, Mekhi Chapman, Miyah Chapman, Cameron Newman, Jayda Floyd, Taedyn Stingley, Keith Grant, Keiveon Grant, Keira Grant, and his great great nieces Skylynn and Kristiana. His nieces Ericka Chapman and Melanie Chapman-Cheatham "Big Dawg" both of Corpus Christi, Texas, Christie Chapman and Daphne Floyd (Marcus) all of San Antonio, Texas, Sonya Chapman-Newman (Richard) of New Jersey, LaMonica Grant (Keith) of Corpus Christi, Texas. He is also survived by his nephews, Marlon Chapman Sr., "his baby Buddha" of Corpus Christi, Texas, Anthony Chapman of New York, Michael McClure (Rose) of Houston, Texas. ![]() Morris is survived by his sister Madelyn Chapman of Corpus Christi, Texas.
